"COLOR FADE" is in the "Official Selection"

Spotlighting 30 short films from filmmakers under 30 years old. This is the invite-only launching event for the festival moving forward, which will be annually every June and present 4 feature films (2 Docs, 2 narratives) and 26 shorts (a mix of narrative/doc/experimental).
Location 1: WALLPLAY because of it's unique gallery set up, plus the availability of an on-site bar and networking space, with possible rooftop access for outdoor projection (in June), makes Wallplay the ideal venue for a different kind of film festival.
With Wallplay's several screens (about 6 indoors and 4 Outdoors), I envision screening the same film on each screen, with seating surrounding each screen differently. Each shorts block would run about 1hr 30mins with a 30min intermission with drink specials and networking time, then another 1 hour block of shorts, culminating to after-party with DJ to dance off the night.
This is a revolutionary film festival, highlighting emerging talent and creating a space for artists and consumers to converge. I think Wallplay's initiative in being a one of a kind venue will work nicely with the 30UNDER30 mission.
Location 2: The Anthology Film Archives (Opening Night) because of the history of Anthology, founded by Jonas Mekas (also founding film writer of the Village Voice) in 1962 as the Film-Makers' Cooperative which grew into the Anthology Film Archives in 1970 with help from sponsors. Mekas dreamed of establishing a permanent home where the growing number of new independent and avant-garde films could be shown on a regular basis. His mission is my mission for young emerging filmmakers to get noticed in our current culture.
Location 3: FISHBAR in the East Village, an intimate dive bar with projection capabilities. It's owned by my uncle and aunt. I started film screening Wednesdays there and hosted my first Nameless Film Festival there. I can have a screening and drink specials at the same time.
